If the brand’s name itself defines the band and makes the company different then it is a good idea to use a logotype, if the brand’s name is a common name it would be better to use an icon to make the brand stand out.
Color also plays a key role in logos, it is very important to choose the right colors to represent the brand. Colors can make you feel, they create emotions and each color has a different meaning.
Another thing to keep in mind is simplicity. You want to keep the logo simple, easy to read, and to understand, the key is to keep it simple but interesting a the same time, you want to draw people’s attention but you don’t want them to spend too much time trying to figure out what it is. Moreover, it is also important to take into account especially nowadays that everything is on the web, that we create a responsive logo that adapts to all of the different sized devices.
There are a lot of factors to take into account when creating a logo and sometimes can get confusing and frustrating, but patience is key. Don’t expect instant success, everything takes time so do not rush to make changes. If you make changes make sure there is a good reason behind it, not just because you got bored of the logo.
